Israeli Extreme Metallers SALEM And BETZEFER To Team Up For Special Show
May 2, 2007Israeli extreme metalelrs SALEM and BETZEFER will team up for a special concert on June 1 at the City Hall in Haifa, Israel. Also scheduled to appear is PRAY FOR NOTHING. A flyer for the show can be seen at this location.
SALEM will release its new album, "Necessary Evil", in Europe on June 4 via Season of Mist (one day later in North America). According to the group, the new material is "modern, dark, highly unique" and "heavier" than their previous efforts. The follow-up to 2005's "Strings Attached" will include a 27-minute piece entitled "Once Upon a Lifetime Parts I - V". Check out the album artwork at this location.

BETZEFER recently completed a European tour as the support act for SEPULTURA.
A video clip of SEPULTURA guitarist Andreas Kisser performing the AC/DC classic "Thunderstruck" with BETZEFER on March 20, 2007 in Vienna, Austria during the two bands' joint European tour has been posted online at YouTube.
BETZEFER last fall posted its video for the song "Early Grave" at this location (Quicktime required). The clip was shot in September with director Noah Shulman.
"Early Grave" comes off the group's debut album, "Down Low", which was released in 2005 via Roadrunner Records. The group's energetic brand of metal is being described as a mixture of SEPULTURA and PANTERA and is said to be "packed with aggression."
